Release of Liability and Assumption of Risk Agreement (RL&ARA)
All non-members participating in JCA events/activities are required to sign a RL&ARA.  This is required by our insurance provider.  By participating without signing the RL&ARA that person is doing so without our (The JCA's) knowledge or consent.   See below for the text of the RL&ARA.

"IRONBUCK" Disclaimer
Shooting at a steel plate target WILL destroy an arrow.
By shooting at "Ironbuck" the shooter assumes all risk and liability for damage to his/her arrow(s) and for any injury incurred from flying debris.  The shooter agrees that the JCA shall not be responsible for replacement of damaged arrows.  This is also covered by the RL&ARA, see below.

Range Closure
On weekends when the JCA is holding an advertised event, not necessarily a shoot, the range is closed.  During public shoots access to the range is granted by paying the entry fee.
On the Friday before a shoot the range will also be closed for setup.  No shooting is allowed on these days, not even the practice range.  This is for the safety of the volunteers setting up.

Scoring/Registration
The JCA does not award prizes based on score.  We do not record, post or keep scores.   This policy was created because of the overwhelming sense of competition among archers attending JCA events and the harassment of JCA officials regarding scoring.
ALL persons wanting to shoot must fill out the Registration Slip/Sheet, each time, for every round they shoot.  This is to keep track of the number of shooters attending and, to ensure that all persons agree to the RL&ARA.  Persons not registering or not FULLY completing the Registration Slip/Sheet are not shooting with our (the JCA's) knowledge or consent.

Registration/Shooting Time
No person may fire a bow on the property while an organized event is being conducted without first registering with the Club.  Registration for standard 3D shoots will be from 7am to 2pm Saturday and 7am to 12pm (noon) Sunday.  No one will be allowed to register outside of these times.  Shooting times for these standard shoots will be from the opening of registration (7am) until up to 2 (two) hours after the close of registration.  One day shoots will follow the same times for that day as a two day shoot. I.E. Saturday 7-2 or Sunday 7-12.  Exceptions to these rules are at the discretion of the Club/Range Officials present at the time of requesting the exception, however, no exceptions will be made as to opening time either day or to the closing time on Sunday.
Please note that on the last day of a shoot the targets will begin to be picked up immediately after the last registered shooter has completed that target, or within 30 minutes of the close of registration whichever comes first.

Our Definition of a "Traditional" shoot -

Only Primitive bows may be used, i.e. any form of longbows & recurves.  No "wheeled" bows may be used.  Arrows may be of any material but must be equipped with "field points" no broadheads or other bladed points shall be used.
Scores will not be recorded or posted and prizes will not be awarded.  Scoring will be as follows- body 5 points, vital 8 points, heart 10 points.

I HAVE READ THIS RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT, FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE GIVEN UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY SIGNING IT, AND SIGN IT FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT.
